Built in the early 1900’s, The Alvarado Block building has stood as a landmark in the East Vancouver / Commercial Drive neighbourhood. The building required a large restoration after a fire damaged several of the residential units above the storefronts on street level. The goal with this restoration was to capture the details of the period for the interior, while updating and modernizing the heating, plumbing and plumbing systems. Through restoring the original nail down Fir flooring, repairing casings, and designing new millwork for the kitchens and bathrooms we were able to revive these heritage homes.
